Jeremy, the cook and also manager of the place, is very kind and makes things comfortable for you.
Room was clean and bed linen was nice and comfy; the Wi-Fi was not great due to the thick walls, so just be prepared with your data if you needed it. Shower was powerful and the heater in the bathroom was enough to keep all the room warm.
Food is very nice and portions are big. We tried most of the menu, our favourite starters are the mushrooms and mackerel pate; the veggies tart and the beef were our repeated mains. And I have to say, the chips they serve are one of I've had recently. Ah! The desserts are very good and enough to share, give them a go!
There is a beautiful beer garden, perfect for watching the sunset with a nice local cider.
Location is great, we went to have some mountain biking, so it is very easy and quick to get to the top of the Quantock Hills, cycling, walking and driving. read less
The Carew Arms is a delightful pub. Good local ales served by attentive staff and the food is delicious!!
